EAA PILOTS TAKE KIDS FLYING FOR FREE
Thanks to Truckee’s Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 1073 volunteers, children can experience a life altering event – flying!
Children ages 8-17 must have a parent/guardian sign them up at the EAA building at the airport on Saturday, July 23, for a flight to take place the next day, Sunday, July 24.
Each new Young Eagle receives a logbook with his/her flight entered into it along with a Young Eagle certificate, as these youngsters are proudly displaying after their ride! (See images below.)
Since 1994, EAA Truckee Chapter 1073 has introduced more than 5,000 local youths to the world of aviation through its monthly Young Eagles flights.
